I have the two standards and the new port from RNR. I can not get the stock port closest to the driver to go because the connection to...RNR is a proven and well loved hydro assist system. I wouldn't hesitate to run it on my JL. Steering will definitely be/feel different. It will definitely track straighter, no more "correcting" the track of the jeep in a crosswind for example. So the weak point is going to still be a small sector shaft. Now with the ram assist, not a huge deal because the ram is doing pretty much all the work.You only need a top mount if you have a 3.5" lift or more.
